\"\"Gentle is the rain that falls upon my window,\r\nGentle as the sound of your voice.\r\n       I hear your words,\r\n           a song of peace,\r\n           and the quiet whisper of laughter\r\n               that rippled into my life.\r\n                                \r\nGentle is the breeze that floats into my room,\r\nGentle as you move, with elegant dignity.\r\n       I see you now, snow-white skin,\r\n           light wisps of hair, soft gray eyes,\r\n           your hands, your feet,\r\n                so graceful, so controlled,\r\n                    your smile, spontaneous, tender.\r\n                        \r\nGentle is the sunlight that steals across the floor,\r\nGentle as your touch.\r\n       I feel your hand,\r\n           lightly reaching for mine,\r\n           your hushed lips, barely caressing my own,\r\n           your warm, existent body lying still in my bed.\r\n                        \r\nGentle are the shadows that fold into the night,\r\nGentle as you faded from my world,\r\n           drifting out of reach,\r\n                      out of touch,\r\n                for me to know alone my silent tears of love,\r\n                      and the gentle pain of memory.\r\n                        \r\nGentle is the rain upon my window....\r\n\r\n--9\/28\/73<\/pre>\n
