Patiently

2012. Adjusting to new life in a senior mobilehome community.

As the deer pants for the water,
So my soul pants after Thee.
I need you, Lord, but You feel so far away.

My spirit is in agony, Lord,
I’m crying out for You and me
To move as one; clothe me with the sun.

And I’ll wait patiently for You
To refresh me once again.
I feel so weak that I don’t even want to try.

But I know that it’s in these times
That You make me what I want to be,
So I will wait on You patiently.

I wake up in the morning, searching,
I’m crying for that holy place.
I know You’re there, but You seem so far away.

Tears are streaming down my face.
Here I am in this place.
Break me, Lord, and let me live again.

And I’ll wait patiently for You
To refresh me once again.
I feel so weak that I don’t even want to try.

But I know that it’s in these times
That You make me what I want to be,
So I will wait on You patiently.

(instrumental break)

And I’ll wait patiently for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You.

My soul is longing for You, for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You.

My soul is longing for You, for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You
To refresh me once again.
I feel so weak that I don’t even want to try.

But I know that it’s in these times
That You make me what I want to be,
And I will wait on You patiently.

And I’ll wait patiently for You,
And I’ll wait patiently for You.
My soul is longing for You….
