Dr. Sharon Olson wrote in my medical file with HelloMD:
“Since she is over 50 she cannot make vitamin D in her skin anymore, so she must supplement vitamin D3 and she must have her vitamin D blood level checked mid‐summer and midwinter and adjust her vitamin D3 intake accordingly.”
After Dr. Olson mentioned vitamin D, I asked Dr. Chan if I could have a blood test for vitamin D and, surprisingly, she ordered it.

LAB TEST RESULTS:
It was a good thing I had the test for vitamin D. Normal range is given as 20-79 ng/mL, and mine is 40 ng/mL—on the low side. So I have decided to take 10,000IU/day.
