I was up at 9-something, just to make sure I could actually talk by 10 o’clock. My landline rang quite promptly at 10:15 a.m. I was expecting a woman, only because my tramadol and meloxicam were filled by Li, Amy RPH. But it was a man who identified himself as Danny Luu.
My main complaint was about the headaches caused by 600mg/day of gabapentin. He agreed to the idea of trying to lower the dosage, 100mg at a time, to see if it would still be effective for pain reduction while low enough to not cause the headaches. This, of course, meant a new prescription for 100mg capsules. I asked him to send it to San Leandro and request them to text me for pick up.
He mentioned Lyrica as an alternative drug for people who can’t tolerate gabapentin.
My next comment to Danny was about tramadol. I told him that I’ve been taking only one (50mg capsule) a day, as prescribed, and occasionally I don’t take it at all, but there are also occasional days that I really need two capsules. In the end, he agreed to put a note on my pharmacy record to increase the dosage to two capsules per day the next time I order a refill (which is actually a new prescription, with a new number and everything, not a real refill). We’ll see what happens when I go online to order in a week or two.
Meloxicam and Flexeril will remain the same.
