I really thought I should ask Dr. Chan about my heart palpitations during our telephone appointment on February 13, 2017, and at least have it documented in my medical records that I reported having heart palpitations. She ordered an EKG and a Holter heart monitor, a device that I wore for 24 hours then took back to Cardiology for their evaluation which Cardiology sent to Dr. Chan.

Dear Jackie
Your 24-hour Holter results are fine.
CONCLUSIONS:
- Rare ventricular and supraventricular ectopy.
- No significant pauses/bradyarrhythmias
- Symptoms correlate with normal sinus rhythm.
Please let me know if you are interested in using a medication called atenolol to control your symptoms.
Sincerely,
Dr. Chan
NOTE: Dr. Chan obviously did not review my medical records before she sent this email or she would have known that I had been on atenolol, supposedly as a migraine preventative, which wasn’t really working so I quit taking it last fall!
But at least the official report from my PCP is that I do NOT have arrhythmia. Whew!
