So today, after the nine months I’ve spent with the Tuesday afternoon Kaiser Pain Group, it was our first experience using Microsoft Teams (instead of WebEx). Amazingly, there was a very large group in attendance—22 attendees! I’ve never seen the group with more than 10 or 12. Teams seemed very intuitive.
At first, I was unable to “unmute” myself. I had to go to “device settings” and change my microphone to “Line Microsoft” (instead of the default). I wonder if that will affect the next Zoom session I’m on.
Once Julie Whitehead got everyone “settled in,” the program moved along fairly smoothly. I was unable to relax much during the mindfulness-based meditation, because Karen Wetherell had just called me to find out how Linda was doing with getting their calendar issue settled. I knew Linda was asleep so I didn’t offer to put her on the phone. I did tell her that Linda had been working on it but had not yet been able to figure out was the problem was. Plus, I was still bummed out that my email to DeAnn Judson had bounced, I was unable to get in to her Bluehost account, and she is a month overdue on her balance of $87. I had printed out a copy of her contract and March statement, folded and put them in an envelope, and found and affixed stamps to put the letter in the postal mail tomorrow and hope I don’t forget!
So I really was not in any mood to share my video or my microphone during the pain group! I did enjoy the Tai Chi with Francis, however, and I hope it calmed me down enough to fix supper for everyone.
