I have been uneasy about glipizide for some time, since glipizide stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas. I have come to view glipizide as something that is forcing my pancreas to produce more insulin when my problem is insulin resistance. Over the past several months, I have gradually decreased my dosage from 15mg/day to 10mg and now 5mg and have not noticed any perceptible change in my numbers. On this day, I decreased my dosage to 0mg.
