Linda has been very sick after her second COVID vaccine shot on Sunday. However, she seemed to feel better this morning, well enough to get up and make coffee then drive to Alameda. So we got eggs at the Farmers’ Market and then went to Trader Joe’s and Safeway. When we came home, I made breakfast (though I did not hear when she asked for just one egg and I made the usual two but she ate them, anyway).
We left at one to go to my individual acupuncture appointment with Sophie. In spite of road construction on Hesperian, I got there in time. Sophie was all excited because they opened up appointments for 12- to 15-year-olds and her 13-year-old daughter was able to get the vaccination.
She also talked about hoping the Pain Clinic would be able to meet in person again soon so she could have group acupuncture with them on Fridays like we did in 2018.
I had pretty much a full body acupuncture treatment today, with reporting pain in my lumbar region as well as in my neck. Sophie talked about stress causing emotional pain which settles into specific body regions, such as the lower back and the belly. Interesting.
Before I left, she said her M.A. will call me to schedule my next appointment.
4:00 p.m.
I even made it back home for Pain Group online. I found out today that even with Microsoft Teams, I am not able to speak when unmuted. Oh, well. However, I am able to hear the music for exercises.
Francis is still working with the Chair Yoga exercises. 210504-COVID19-ChairYogaHandout [PDF]. As “easy” as it looks on paper, these are very substantial exercises!
