The phone appointment with a physical therapist was scheduled for the next day. He identified himself as Aaron Hopkins, and I wondered if he was the same man that had conducted the Neck Pain Class. But I didn’t ask. I also failed to ask him about the TENS unit (for pain relief) as Dr. Chan had suggested.
His advice was essentially the same information that had been presented in the class. He did ask me about my work situation and advised to take frequent breaks from the computer. When I told him that the pain was on the right side of my neck and I use my mouse with my right hand, he suggested that I use the mouse with my left hand for a change. I told him that was not possible, given my desk set up.
His other main advice was to continue the neck exercises presented in class.
Later that day, I got this email:
