We went to Alameda this morning, mainly for the purpose of mailing my re-application for Medical Financial Assistance. I wish I could have done this online, but online is an option only if you are within 2 weeks of your current award expiring. So postal mail was my only choice. Before the pandemic, I would have hand delivered the application to the MFA office in San Leandro.
So we just went to Safeway and, for the first time in many months, I carried in my reusable grocery bags and packed them before I left the store. That way, I could get them balanced for weight.

Angela Anderson was facilitating today. She seems to be doing better with her audio issues, but her volume is still too low. Fortunately, she had a good set of slides so I got the gist of what she was saying during the presentation on optimism.
Francis had a good session with movement. He showed slides of different sports and asked us to imitate the movements that we saw. For some reason, I was able to really get “into it” today. Then he did some chair yoga, demonstrating the movements himself, and he was very easy to follow.
I checked my blood pressure immediately after the session and it was much lower than my typically numbers: 115/81 with pulse of 78.
