Thursday, June 25: Ate a full supper, began fast after supper (approximately 8:00 p.m.). Bedtime blood glucose 127 mg/dL, blood ketones 3.4 mmol/l. I have determined what prescription meds/OTC that I have to have, and everything else I can do without for 3 days.

Friday, June 26, Day 1: First full day of fasting. I’m doing fine, but not enough energy (physical or emotional) to go for a walk. I added Care By Design CBD/THC 1:1 to my morning regimen. I think I’ll keep the morning CBD even after the fast is over.
Saturday, June 27, Day 2: I’m thankful for losing 1.2 lbs. And not waking up with a headache today! I’m sure the lack of headache was due to all the Himalayan pink salt I put in my bone broth last night! It was really too much salt (for taste) but at least I now know I’m not deficient in sodium! (Or maybe the morning CBD is helping.)
We had a pleasant day with a van trip to Alameda and a stop at Safeway, mainly to get buttermilk for Linda, but also got Fage Total 5% Greek yogurt, Ortega taco sauce, spices, creamed spinach for Linda, and two small steaks which I plan to have for Monday night supper!
Sunday, June 28, Day 3: Last day of the fast. It was quiet today except for the dang fireworks that start at dusk! Poor Emily is so freaked out. She spends evenings in the living room with me, hiding out on her red blanket on the floor, between the green chair and ottoman.
Monday, June 29: Today is my daughter #1 Lisa’s birthday! It will be the first birthday in 41 years that I haven’t been able to hug her on her birthday.
