March 16, 2018 I wasn’t particularly anxious to have another A1C yet, since I have been in chronic pain since October and have experienced a lot of stress. But I had to have it, and it was even more disappointing than I had feared. 6.6%. Heavy sigh.

Evidence that stress has a direct effect on blood sugar: I checked BG 90 min. after dinner and it was 113. Then I had 4 hrs of a VERY stressful evening (related to work—I work at home) and bedtime BG was 174! YIKES!! Took an extra metformin even though it’s above the maximum daily dosage….
